Hi Everyone,Although we have a minimum of snow with only the Lighted Trail open there is a lot going on at our ski club. (By the way, the groomers have been checking the back trails, there just isn’t enough snow YET!)An important event for the whole Miramichi community is planned for February 16 – Family Ski Day. The details are here in this poster. This is a well attended fun event every year. See more news below.

Here are some other events from the recent past and for the near future.
THE RECENT PAST1. On Friday January 30th the MCCSC held a Moonlight Ski. It was a tremendous success in that approximately 100 skiers took part, almost entirely non-members. Eight or so club members worked very hard handing out equipment, giving some basic instructions, setting the skiers off in the right direction! and then putting all the stuff away after.  The skiers all expressed their appreciation and seemed to really enjoy the trails.  It was a great success. 
2. On Sunday morning MCCSC hosted  an NB Cup ski race. Again a large number of club members volunteered to help and reports from third party officials and participants indicated another very successful event. There were 60 skiers from across the province and a few from Nova Scotia. The event went very smoothly. MCCSC will be hosting an Atlantic Cup Biathlon competition in the mornings of February 7th and 8th – this coming weekend. Organizers are looking for more volunteers please contact Emily (who featured in the above video clip1) at emily.comeau@nbed.nb.ca if you are able to help.2. The Miramichi Ray Thibodeau Loppet will be held at MCCSC on Sunday February 15th …. and will be finished by about 1:00 p.m. This is not officially a race but a participation event for everyone. More details to come.
